What is a Virtual Dedicated Server (VDS)?
A VDS is a virtual machine deployed alone on a physical server with no other users. You get exclusive access to all resources for maximum performance and privacy.
How is VDS different from VPS?
With VDS, you are the only user on the physical server, giving you dedicated resources and complete isolation. VPS shares hardware with other users, though resources are still isolated virtually.
How fast will my VDS be ready after I place an order?
After your payment is completed, your VDS is usually provisioned within a few minutes to a few hours depending on configuration. You'll receive an email with your server's IP address, login details and any additional information you need to get started.
Is the VDS managed or unmanaged? What kind of support do I get?
All VDS plans are unmanaged. That means you have full root access and are responsible for the software and configuration inside your server, while we take care of the underlying hardware, network and DDoS protection. Our support team is available every day from 08:00–20:00 CET to help with infrastructure issues.
Which operating systems can I run on my VDS?
You can choose from a range of Linux distributions, Windows Server options, or even boot from a custom ISO if you have special requirements.
Can I upgrade my VDS later?
Yes, you can upgrade your VDS resources. Contact our support team to discuss your requirements and we will arrange the upgrade with minimal downtime.
How do backups work on VDS?
Every VDS includes automatic daily backup snapshots stored on our backup server. These snapshots are designed for quick recovery if something goes wrong. For critical workloads, we recommend keeping your own additional off-site backups.
Where are your VDS servers hosted?
All VDS servers are hosted in our datacenter in Slovenia (EU). The infrastructure is connected through high-speed fiber and protected by multi-layer DDoS protection.
Do I get IPv4 and IPv6 addresses with my VDS?
Yes. Every VDS plan includes 1× IPv4 and IPv6 address for free. If you need additional IPv4 addresses, you can contact our support or sales team.
Do I have to commit to a long-term contract?
No, you don't have to. All VDS plans are available with monthly billing, and you can stop renewing at any time.
